What is a good family friendly location for spring skiing near (1.5 hrs or less) an airport?
This will be my kids second ski trip and my wife hates long drives. She is an intermediate skiier and im a beginner. My kids are both boys, 7 and 10 yrs old. Would also like a place with fun shops, downtown area, etc.

Is ice skating a feminine sport?
I would recommend looking at the ski resorts in the Salt Lake City area. There are many of them with all varieties of terrain. SLC airport is the central hub of all air transportation across the country so it should be easy to get to and cheap as well.
It should only take you 45 minutes to get to the closest resort and accomidations are reasonable due to competition with other resorts and hotels.
I would look at Snowbird, that's where I learned to ski and I love it.
What's the best way to prepare your muscles for skiing, so you don't ache all over the next day?
I agree with the previous post; Snowbird is a great option. Some other positives about Snowbird: 1) The area gets a ton of snow so conditions are normally still very good in the Spring, 2) There is a valet parking option (great for families with a ton of gear to lug, 3) You can stay in Salt Lake City where rates can be inexpensive (an added plus: even though SLC is only 30-45 min. from Snowbird, it's about 2,000 feet lower in altitude which is good for sleeping).More Questions & Answers...
