Is this a decent snowboard package for a beginner?
go to a ski resort or a ski shop and get fitted for a board (its free!) they'll give you all the specs of the board that would best fit you according to your physical stature and ability.I need info about Ride Orion SI Boots/Bindings. Are they decent?

I would go with a 153cm to 155cm. If you are looking for a burton or a rossignol under $200, you will need to find a good used board which is perfectly fine.Is 12 too old to become a figure skater?
Before you run out and start purchasing new or used gear, consider the fact that you may not like or even take to the sport. Snowboarding/skiing is not a cheap sport no matter how little you spend on your equipment. You wouldn't buy a new car without a test drive... would you? Same goes for your gear... Test drive the sport to see if you like it and then buy the gear.My suggestion: Rent the gear for the first couple of trips and by all means take a professional lesson or learn from someone who has the patients to teach you correctly. You'll appreaciate the sport that much more. Once you are truly hooked, you begin the hunt for for the gear that is best for you in both price and physical parameters.

Who among you can do the triple jumps in ice skating?
I would suggest renting a board and trying out the sport first. Many people get super excited and try snowboarding and then give up and quit because they dont have the commitment. It would suck to buy a board and then find out you dont like the sport. And I would suggest saving a little bit more money because you are not going to be able to get a very good board for $200 and then you still have to buy the bindings that are around $200 for a decent set and then boots for about $150 or more if you want a good pair.I first tried my snowboard last week but was having probs, plz help!?
i dunno if ull find a good quality board for only 200$...also is that w/ boots and bindings or not?? anyways, as far as sizes go i would shoot for something in the mid-150's. good luck. snoboarding is way better then skiing :PMore Questions & Answers...
