How do you actually get better?

Answers:

Does anyone fancy going snowbaording or skiing next week or the week after?

Assuming you're a beginer, practice all your simple "J'' turns using both your toeside edges and heelside edges. once you have your edges down start pointing your board down the hill, each time going further and further. but remember you must have your turns and stopping down before you start shooting down the hill.

It also helps to push yourself once you get passed the beginner slopes. Find a run that challenges you and ride it over and over until it isn't a challenge anymore. So many people try a more advanced run once, don't do very well and never try it again. Well, you'll never get better without pushing your limits.

I find that the single best way to get better is to ride with people better than you are. It can be intimidating but I find that most snowboarders are pretty cool and we were all a beginner at one time. I've been riding for twenty years and I love riding with people that are just getting stoked on the sport. Watching them improve and develop their own style is awesome.

And the most important thing is, keep it fun. As long as you're having fun that's all that matters.
