How to mount bindings onto a snowboard (I am a noob)?

Question:I decided to buy my own snowboards this season and I need help mounting the bindings onto the snowboard

I managed to screw in the correct holes but i'm not sure if i mounted it correctly.

Anyways, here is some additional information
Snowboard: Sims Chao
Bindings: Salomon
Length: 164cm
My height 6"1
My weight 185
Freeride rider
Intermediate

The insert pattern on my snowboard looks like this

o o o o o o o o o o o o
o o o o o o o o o o o o

I basically mounted the bindings on theses slots (marked with a @)

o o o o @ @ @ @ o o o o
o o o o @ @ @ @ o o o o

Is this correct?

Also, what confused me was the fact that the circle thing (the one that connects the bindings and the snowboard) had two different ways of screwing it in.

In one position I was able to move the boot left and right
and the other position I was able to move the boot from top to bottom. Which is the proper way to install it?

Thanks a lot

depends on your height. Get a ruler or something you can gauge length with, like a belt. determine the distance from the middle of your kneecap to the ground. Measuring from the center of binding 1 to center of binding 2 it should be about that distance apart. Mount them symetrically, not further to either end. You would move it back if you were riding it like a big powder board, so the front floats up. As far as how to angle it, if you ride regular then lay the board down in front of you like you would ride it, so the front is at ur left hand and the back to ur right. Put the right hand, or rear, binding on at a 90 deg angle, perpendicular to board, and then turn it slightly to the left or foward, +3 degrees.. Put the front, or left hand, binding on same as the other and then just turn it toward the front by 5 minutes on a clock or 15 degrees, or if the binding is marked then set it to 15 degrees, so its facing the front slightly. this is the standard, basic, ho-hum, shop-rental for a first timer newbie setup.

Used leather ice skates are scuffed up! what do i do?

If you are goofy (right foot first) try setting your bindings at 15 degrees toward the right. The other binding can be set at 0 degrees. If you are regular, just switch the settings.

Start with that and make adjustments if necessary.

Is curling big?

The center thing is called a DISC. The best way to mount the bindings depends on your personal preference. Most snowboarders prefer shoulder width (or slightly wider) stance width and equal toe and heel hang.

Where can i find a used snowmobile for sale in the bay area?

begining snowboarders, or just all around freeride snowboarders should set their bindings at 15 degrees front foot and about 7 degrees on your rear foot. this is usually the happy medium and the most comfortable position.
