Season of Skiing/snowboading?
Whats the best way to do a full season of skiing/snowboarding?
Answers:
I need good shoes/boots to battle the snow and ice on treacherous sidewalks?
It seems that you are left with two options. Depending on what place you plan to do a full season at, either choice may prove to be better.First, you could try to find a half-time occupation near the area where you wish to ski/snowboard. You will need to save up some money of your own. The job will give you some extra cash, but will not deplete so much of your time as to not allow you to ski/snowboard freely each day.
Alternatively, you could just save much currency before trying to rent a place (motel, relative's house if any, etc.) long-term. More costly, but also more time.

Get a job working for a great ski area. Aspen Mountain or the Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, Winter Park, Telluride, Crested Butte, Keystone, Lake Tahoe. Great Ski areas, I know I've been to most.I wanna go skiing again!
Contact the mountain company and they will let you know when they'll have a job shop where you can go and sell yourself ready for the upcoming season. If not, go and contact all the bars/shops and hotels in the resort where you want to work. Good luck!
Is it good to snowboard in the spring?
Your choice is to work, or bum. I have done three seasons in Europe as a bum; the routine is get a job in the summer and save hard, then get some cheap shared place to live, the pass for the season is not too expensive, buy it early, you can always get a bit of evening work if things get a bit tight.Skiing is definately better because you can do so much more. Plus most snowboarders are idiots
What kind of a ski coat should i buy my dad for his birthday?
you could save up and follow the advice already posted or show up in september at a ski hill and start talking to folks, stay away from running lifts, (stuffin butts) everybody hates lift opp'in, or go to a skitown, like truckee where I live and get busy lookin for a job, all ski resorts are lookin for folks to work at that time of year, the trick is to find a job that gives you free time during the day, good luck with that, those jobs are tougher to find. once you get work then you gotta get the pass, can't ski a bunch of days if you are payin by the day, some jobs will include a pass. stick around a ski town long enough you might find a really good job but many of the resort jobs are lower paying and will burn you out eventually. every year in the fall there are hundreds, if not thousands of people from south america & austrailia showing up in tahoe to fill skihill jobs, you could be here too.More Questions & Answers...
