Ok you have to LEAN darling and make sure your arms are in the right place. If you're going anti-clockwise around a circle put your right hand infront of you at 12 o'clock and your left hand at 6 o'clock.Push with your right foot from the ball of your foot while concentrating your weight on the left foot. Then when you come to cross your right over your left, bring that right foot infront to place on the inside (of your circle) push slightly out with your left foot to make room for the right. And place the right down where the left was.
Then start again. Your posture during the cross overs is gonna make or break it. Practice in a small circle (About 1.6 yards) and consciously lean your body toward the centre of your circle - this will make your blade 'stick'. (p.s. check if your blades are sharp enough too)
You're gonna look like a little bit of a dork the first few times till you get the hang of it, but once you get it, you're gonna look fab!
Also these skating skills are the most important to get right now, because they are the building blocks of all other skating elements.
Practice sweety!
