I live in Hawaii and it costs $5.50. That probably means it will be cheaper for you because in Hawaii everything costs more!It will cost between 5 and 7 dollars. I travel around the country playing hockey and that seems to be about the going rate.

Snowboarding + Broken wrist + Snowboarding?
It depends on how serious of a skater you are. If you are a figure skater and you want a good sharpening it could cost you between 10 and 15 dollars. At the rink that I skate at, it costs significantly less to sharpen hockey skates. It depends on the ice arena or pro shop that does it. Probably "blades" is the best answer. A typical rate is $5, give or take. But you do get what you pay for.Any hockey store, or ice rink, will have the service.
I've got the board, and the bindings, now i need...?
The price varies. Know that the way you sharpen a hockey skate isn't the same as the way you sharpen a figure skate, so try to go to someone who actually knows how to sharpen figure skates. Do you have a coach? Are there any good skaters at your rink? You can ask them where they go.For a regular, everyday, recreational figure skater-type sharpening in the NY area, it's about $8.50.
They sharpen skates at Wollman in Central Park, and at Chelsea Piers (Sky Rink).
But as you advance, you're going to need a more specialised sharpening, and to go to someone who REALLY knows what they are doing. Some skaters even send their skates by Fedex to a good sharpener. But we have a couple of really great ones in the NYC area. My favourite is the pro at the Ice House in Hackensack. Competitive sharpenings cost about $25-30.
