How do I size a freestlye ski? I am 6' 7" tall and Im wondering if a 172 is too small for freestyle?

Being tall I have always rode large skis. But now that I am going for freestyle (Rails / Jumps) I am wondering if I should go for something a little smaller. I am 6' 7" tall and Im wondering if a 172 is too small for freestyle or should I size up to the 182?

It really depends...freestyle skiers usually use really small skis, and your ski length depends on your weight, not your height. For a recreational or carving ski, the 182 would be the obvious choice However, if you are getting a pure park ski, I'd stick with the 172. If possible, it would be a good idea to try both and then decide which one feels better.

182 is probably good.

It seems like most of the people I know, know nothing about Warren Miller! Who here knows about him?!!?

If you feel like youre ready, then youre ready

I think by your demention youre fine, as log as you keep in shape
