Which snowboard do I need?

I picked up a board (can still be returned) but I'm wondering now if I'm too heavy for it? It's a Burton Feelgood (2005--it was hiding waaaay in the back and I got it for a steal <$200 since it's an old model) 149. I'm about 5'8" and 145 pounds and I'm just beginning (mostly blues and greens in Colorado/Utah, no park). The board lists weights up to 135 so I'm wondering if it'll flex too much and I'll lose my edge because I'm over that weight.

Snowboarding rules?

At your ability level it isn't too small. Those weight ranges are a guide and not an absolute rule. For now, that board should be just fine. As you get better you will find that it doesn't have the stability you'll need for higher speeds and it's going to be a submarine in the powder. It is a very good board and should offer a good platform for you to hone your skills and help you better choose your next board a year or two down the line

Have fun

Did Canada or Scotland win the world cup?and for all you twits out there world cup in curling?

hes rite your fine the now when you are beginning it doesn't matter if the board flexes to much but i would say change it because you will not be a beginner for too long you will want the board to stay stable at speed

you want the board to last you well into a year or two in a year or two your ability will be soo much better and you will require alot more out your board

but it is up to your self =]
