Could you please read this?

I've sized up countless boarders from levels beginning to expert.

Assuming you are average weight. and more of a beginner to intermediate, you will want to go with a board around 156cm. give or take 2cm both ways. go bigger if you are over average weight.

there is no need to go with a wide board. i am a size 12 and i ride a reg board and love it. i tried a wide once and the response was not as quick. all you need to do is set your bindings right. I have no toe or heel drag.

Freeride1 is right about the different lengths. but that really only applys if you are advanced to expert.

i am 6', 170lbs, size 12 boot and i have 4 boards all different sizes. my smallest is a 131, and my biggest is a 159. (HUGE difference). My santa cruz 159 is what is reccomneded for my height and weight and i love it. i started out on that and i still ride it today. i can use it for powder, groomed and park and it does great in all. my 131 i only use for park. once you get better and better, you can start going down in size.

Your board should probably reach your chin and you should probably choose a slightly wider one. Between 146cm and 154cm.

Nisa levels...?

It should just above your shoulders

Can you compete on the Basic Skills level?

dude its not bout your height at all

i can ride anything from a 135 to a 152

what you need too look at is your weight when your looking for a board first look on the board on the label it should tell you the weight it is made for this is theee most important thing cause if your too light you wont be able too flex the board enough and if your too heavy the board is just gonna flex too much

then the next thing is your feet lolz you have big feet this means your gonna be looking for a wide board it needs to be wide or you will get too much toe and heel drag

once all this is thought about and you noo the board you want then goo for a board you wont normally between shoulder and chin

but i goo by this rule if i wanna freestyle shorter board

if its all about the carving you want a big board :D

hope it helps dude =]
