Am writing a poem about winter, any ideas on how I could start??
Question:I need to write a poem about winter. If anyone has any ideas on how to start or maybe a line I could possibly use just to get me started, it would really be helpful. Or a way I could describe winter with imagery. Thanks so much.. any help would be appreciated!!

My advice to you would be to understand what winter means to you... It could be snow, the cold crisp air, the lack of leaves on trees etc. It could also be the leading up to Christmas, the excitement on childrens faces etcOnce you have a picture in your mind of what Winter means to you, you can then build on that using very descriptive words and paragraphs like.... As my footsteps crunched across the snow, I took a breath and sighed... the leaves no longer on the trees, an ever frozen tide... blah blah blah.
You also need to decide whether you want it to be a rhyming poem or a monologue type thing.
Good luck, I would love to see it when it is finished.
