Is snowboarding a sport? Or is it a fitness activity?
Solitude,Utah. The name says it all. There is hardly ever anyone there. We went on a saturday, and the place was totally dead. They had a ton of runs with waist, to neck deep powder. They also had a bunch of groomed runs. It's cheap too. Only $28 for a junior.Totally depends. I saw a Worlds Best (travel channel) on ski resorts. #1 was Vail and #2 was Whistler-Blackcomb. But the show was on *resort* not mountain. I totally believe that if you ski for the mountain, not the resort, that Whistler-Blackcomb is truely the best in the world. The skiing is incredible.
But for me, any mountain with a race course will do. My home resort is a little bitty 400 feet vertical drop. My friends and I have a blast smashin' plastic. Our times on the course are never more than 28 seconds long. So really, it's all what you look for in a mountain. A fancy resort, tons of vertical and limitless runs, or a short little course and a couple of friends, to make the best ski resort in the world.
What is the best all around all purpose snowmobile ?? trail, ditch banging?
Lake Louise, Alberta. Cheaper than Whistler and better snow. Not that coastal cement. Is it obligatory for the female skaters to wear as costumes skirts and not pants+ do they have to?
Skibabe is right on.It really depends on what you are looking for. My home resort is very small but I know it like the back of my hand and for me, it's the best ever. It has great groomers and some awesome black diamond terrain. We don't have the most but what we have is good.
For the all inclusive package, I love Whistler/Blackcomb. The mountains are amazing and they have all the terrain you could want and more. The locals are better than most pros and when I was there everyone seemed very friendly and had very little attitude. The Village itself is awesome. Great shops, bars, resturants, hotels and clubs. You can find just about anything you'd want there.
In the states Vail rates highly and there are a bunch of great resorts nearby.
I'm from California so the resorts I know the best are there. I like Squaw for the epic mountain that it is. Northstar probably has the best family environment and their parks and grooming are great. Heavenly is HUGE and the views are some of the most beautiful anywhere. Kirkwood is a little smaller but has some of the most extreme terrain anywhere. And if you want something a little different and a little out of the way, there is this little place called Bear Valley that is my favorite.

Where is the best place to purchase discounted lift tickets for keystone and breckenridge and cost?
I personally like Snowbird in Utah the best. It has the best snow and the best difficult terrain. There isn't really any easy skiing, but there isn't really any nightlife either unless you go down to the valley. If you are going to the resort for the skiing and don't care about the rest, Snowbird is the way to go (plus most people find plenty of nightlife in the pool :) )
How many of you have line skis?
breckenridgeSexy but durable winter boots?
