Ski or snowboard?
Should i give snowboarding a try? Or should i just continue skiing? I'm an intermediate skier and i will be going to a ski resort sometime in December.

try snowboarding, it is really fun and if you are just an intermediate skier snowboarding might get you hooked and the next thing you know you will be mortgaging your house. You should be able to pick it up pretty quickly, because you already understand snow and edges, I would try to borrow a skate board for a couple of weeks and got to a parking lot and push around as an easy way to get used to the balance required, really try to get the sensation of turning and pay attention to what you are doing (direction of weight etc) in order to make the skate board turn, You will also be much better off it you have a friend that will spend a couple of hours with you on the mountain or take a lesson, as either will help trememdouslyIs March a good month to ski in andorra in terms of the snow levels.?

I was raised skiing, first getting on the skis when I was about 4. The fact of the matter is that when I got into high school I found that all of my friends wanted to snowboard, and I had spent my whole life mastering skiing. Anyway I rented a board for a week and boarded every day. By the time the week was over I had learned to snowboard as well as all of my friends.Conclusion: why learn to do something that is simple when you have mastered the difficult thing. Snowboarding is fun and you can implement tricks easier without the great risk of injury, but it takes skill to be good at skiing. Hope you make the right choice.

if you have never snowboarded before i would not try it on a mountain because it is hard at first. i would go skiing at the resort and if you want to learn how to snowboar do it when you get backWhat all do I need to wear to stay COMPLETELY warm during skiing??
Try it... but don't expect too much on the first day. I tell people who are interested in snowboarding to give it at least three days on the snow before making up your mind if you like it or not. The first day is usually very humbling. It is much harder than biginner skiing - by far. I made the tansition to snowboarding after years of skiing and I'll never look back.If skiing's something you've done for a long time, then why change now? Besides, I've heard that since the two are so totally different, it's hard to go from one to the other. I've been tempted to try snowboarding a few times too, but I've stuck to skiing because why waste money trying to learn something else when I can already tear up the slopes on my skis?

i snowboard and would never switch to skiing. but if your already pretty good at skiing i think you should stick with that. that whole snowboarder/ skier rivalry is retarted. i have just as many friends who ski as friends who snowboard. i love to joke around with skiers like "you stupid skiers" or whatever but im just kidding. i perfer snowboarding but i think people should stick with what they did first and not switch in the middle.I am looking for alpine skiing memorabilia such as old ski resort trail signs and such.
