Can't remember what to do with my arms?

I'm in Basic Pre-Alpha and I'm working on the outside edge and inside edge exercises where you use the line and make half circles on either the inside or outside edge (hopefully that made sense lol). I'm going to go practice Wednesday but I don't remember which arm goes in front and which arm goes in back while practicing inside and outside edges. Can someone help me out please? I don't want to practice it wrong!

What is your favorite sport?

Outsides -- Same arm as free leg
Insides -- Opposite arm as free leg

Free leg is the foot in the air.

Don't forget to rotate and change the arms before you come back to the long axis (line).

How could I bcome a figure skating coach?

Its hard for me to explain if i'm not doing it.
But hahaha UM inside edges are always oppisite arms so right foot left arm, and then when you get to the top of the circle switch vice versia. And with outside edges same arm same leg, so right foot right arm and then top of the circle switch arms so its left arm in front if that makes any sense.

lol i never thought it would be hard to explain on the computer.
lol hope i helped!

Curling ? WTF?

It's always the opposite arm for the foot that's in the air for both inside and outside. It would be bad to practice it wrong lol

Canadians,How popular is Curling?

Hi,

First of all, edges are not in pre alpha...unless you are really good and you shouldn't be in that level....anyways, it should be same arm as foot. Then you rotate half way through. I HOPE THAT I HELPED!

What is the skiing like in Italy?

The foot you start on then that same arm goes in front. Right foot, right arm. When you change is when you change your arms. Hope it makes sense. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Skiing Question.?

inside edges require your arms to face inside the circle (inside=inside), outside edges require your arms to face outside the circle (outside=outside) .. so to clarify.. inside edges- rotate your body and arms to "hug" the circle youre on... ouside edges- rotate your body and arms to not "hug" the circle your on (but remember to still look where youre going!)...super easy if you remember it that way (inside-inside, outside-outside)! good luck!

If going clockwise>>>, make left arm go in front, and right arm back. If going counter-clockwise<<<<, put right arm in front, and left arm back!
