The smell of the ice (outdoors), the wind whistling past my ears, the sound of my blades cutting the ice when turning...Being able to explode a start and be zooming at nearly 30 mph, and then hit the skids and throw a wall of ice crystals forward...
Taking laps around the rink at night, looking up and seeing the Northern Lights racing overhead...
Put together, it just makes the world much easier to deal with in the morning.

I just love everything about it. Not many people figure skate as much as people play other sports and figure skating is a hard sport. So when you are doing a trick and people are like "whoa, look at that" or "she is really good"
It makes you feel really good and it is just about the most fun thing in the world!

I just recently started taking lessons, and what I like most about it is seeing how bad I suck at something when I first learn it, but I practice it a few times and a week later I'll be perfect at it! And I just think to myself, "Wow last week I could barely even do this and now it's a piece of cake to do!" It's so much fun noticing my progress and seeing all my hard work pay off.

I've been skating for 6 years, and everytime i get on the ice for warmup, and push and glide on my skates it gets me everytime. I guess i just love the speed, the feeling, and using my edges.mmk i lied i just counted on my fingers [haha] and i've been skating for 8. haha.

hmm thats hard. i love everything about skating! i would probably have to say my fav jump is the double salchow or the loop. my fav spin is a pancake :-D. but i also love making up programs. and skating to music. figure skating is so copacetic. :-D love it!Where is the best place in the countr to ski?
My favorite thing to do is spins but my favorite jump is the flip.I guess what I enjoy the most while figure skating is how I can go around the ice and do my own thing however artistic I want to make it and no one will judge me unlike when I start to dance or something at school and everyone stares. I love EVERYTHING else about it though too.
I love spinning...jumping is cool and all but everyone can do it and it's become like the standart of the whole sport and it's not about just the jumps..it's about spinning and artistry and skating skills too...so I like spinning and performance the best.
