i have never been there..Colorado is awesome skiing. the snow is almost always powder or packed powder,and the runs vary for a lot of comfort levels i go every year.
also try Mt Bachelor in Oregon.

I love to ski in Vail Colorado. In fact, these are the 15 ways that I prepare for the skiing season there...15. Soak my gloves and store them in the freezer after every use.
14. Fasten a small, wide rubber band around the top half of my head before I go to bed each night.
13. I wear glasses, so I begin wearing them with glue smeared on the lenses.
12. Throw away a hundred dollar bill.
11. Find the nearest ice rink and walk across the ice 20 times in my ski boots carrying two pairs of skis, accessory bag and poles. I pretend I'm are looking for my car. Sporadically drop things.
10. I place a small but angular pebble in my shoes, line them with crushed ice, and then tighten a C-clamp around my toes.
9. I buy a new pair of gloves and immediately throw one away.
8. I secure one of my ankles to a bed post and ask my friend to run into me at high speed.
7. I go to McDonald's and insist on paying $8.50 for a hamburger. I'm always sure I'm in the longest line.
6. I clip a lift ticket to the zipper of my jacket and ride a motorcycle fast enough to make the ticket lacerate my face.
5. I drive slowly for five hours - anywhere - as long as it's in a snowstorm and I'm following an 18 wheeler.
4. I fill a blender with ice, hit the pulse button and let the spray blast my face, leave the ice on my face until it melts, then Let it drip into my clothes.
3. I dress up in as many clothes as I can and then proceed to take them off because I have to go to the bathroom.
2. I slam my thumb in a car door, but don't go see a doctor.
1. I repeat all of the above every Saturday and Sunday until it's time for skiing season in Vail!
