Does anyone know any stores that sell Ice Skates?
You can heat mold your boots at home as well. Just place your oven on 175, place the boots in for about 5 min. or until they are pretty warm to the touch, then carefully put them on and tie them. Let them cool completely on your feet. Double check to make sure the your boots are heat moldable though. Also, if you have hard guards, put your skates on at home, and walk around in them, just make sure you put your walking gaurds on. Bend at the ankles, stretch, do whatever you feel will help break them in.
My daughters are both very competitive figure skaters, they also don't tie the top notch on their skates until they are broke in. I don't know why this works, but they say it does.
You can also go to your pro shop and get your boots punched out. Figure out where they hurt the most, and tell your pro shop, and they will punch them out where you say hurts the most.
Unfortunately, it takes about two weeks to break in a new pair of skates, and that is if you skate pretty much everyday. My daughters hate getting new skates. I hope this helps.
Looking for a snowboarding sponcership!?!?
This is common. The best way to break in a pair of skates is to skate in them...you can also wear them at home while you're not skating (just don't walk around in them!). Choice of sock is also important...don't wear anything thick, just wear a normal thin white sock :-)Hope this helps!
Where can I find the Asics Onitsuka Tiger Wrestling 81 LE in black and white and size 10.5?
you might wanna get them heat molded. as your pro shop if they can do it with your specific boots. they heat the boot and then you put your foot in for a little while and the warm leather molds to the shape of your foot making them a lot more comfortable. all the top skaters do this.More Questions & Answers...
