Getting in shape for downhill skiing?
I just booked a winter trip to Colorado to go downhill skiing. I'm in terrible shape, but I used to be a good skiier. Any ideas about what sorts of things I should do between now and then (I have about 3 months) to get ready for a week of skiing? Thanks.

Find a hill, walk or run up it, walk or run down. Repeat. Use poles for this if you like (it's great for your skiing form, makes hiking safer and better exercise). No hill? find stairs, can you do them two at a time? build up to it.
WALL SQUATS..You sit with your back against a wall with knees at 90 degrees as if sitting in a chair, only, there is no chair, your quads and hamstrings hold you up. Hold and feel the burn for as long as you are able. :)
Stretch. Drink water stick to every other day or 3 times per week. Create a set routine you are able to complete. e.g. one set,15 reps of each. Then raise it as you improve.
Have Fun this Winter !!

You Should Workout at gyms! Stretch Always Before You Do. Plus never Give up And just think about not just working about for skiing but think about working out so people can look at you differentWhat is a good snowboard for a female beginner?
Lunges and squats, sit ups, peddling, and stretch your hamstrings. Strengthening your core is key. When skiing, tighten your stomach muscles (abs) slightly to protect your back and to ensure you’re not bent at the waist.More Questions & Answers...
