Does any one else love ice hockey like Manchester storm now known as manchester phoenix?
Buton make the nicest boards. Burton chargers are reall nice beginner boards. If you're planning to snowbaord a lot its worth getting a board that is between your nose and chin because as you get better you will appreciate the right size board.Shorter boards (shoulder to chin level) are great for riding in parks and doing little piste tricks becauase they are much easier to turn.
Longer boards are great for riding in powder and all round mountain happiness!
The cheapest Burton boards are in either the USA or in Europe. Don't bother buying boards in a place where you can't snowboard as they are normally over-priced. Choose a well know dealer with staff who know what they are talking about and take any advice they give you.
Are Bindings made of Aluminum worse than Plastic ones?
I would just get a board that is between your chin and nose, thats usually a good starter. My best advice for when start boarding is to always keep an edge. For beginner's, if you loose that edge and start flatlining it, its tough to regain that edge and you will probably fall, just to stop. What song matches this skating dress??
Take lessons for your first few times. It can make such a huge difference. The instructors can save you from many extra hours on your butt! You may also want to try a rental board from a ski/snowboard shop a couple times before you buy. Don't rent at the mountain, it is usually way more expensive.
Warm, waterproof clothes are a must. Waterproof bib overalls are an option if you are getting started.
