Burton Custom?

Has anybody had the chance to ride one recently. I remember the 98 Custom I used to have was pretty sweet. I need a new setup this winter, so I wanted to find out if the Custom is still living up to the hype.

Is there enough snow in Whistler, Canada, at Easter for a decent snowbarding trip?

The new Custom is hot! I had a chance to ride it a bit in South America this summer and it was nice. I preferred my UNINC, but the new Custom rode VERY well. The thing I liked about it was that it's a do anything board. You can take it on groomers, in the park, and the pipe. It didn't handle as well in deeper powder, but that's to be expected.

Well hope this helps, enjoy the season!

Who watches curling!?!?

Don't know if it helps any but this year at the Open several pro's were rocking Customs. Also at Hood this year, from the few pro's I got a chance to chat with, many said that board is pretty tight this year.

Does Jamaica have anyone at the winter olympics?

My bro just got last years custom and loves it. He also got the Shaun White board and said its really solid (esp. for park like riding). Really depends on what type of board you want and how you want to ride it. A custom would be ok for a all rounder... but to be honest there are much cheaper boards out there that are just as good, if you are just looking to mess around.

Where can i find information on artic cat snowmachines?

I ride an '04 Custom, and after using several other boards I swear I'm sticking with this one for life. Its such a solid performer no matter what type of snow (or ice or slush, for us poor east coasters,) you're riding. Its comfortable doing hard carves, but has enough pop for the freestyle junkies out there, although I personally don't touch rails with my board and can't for the life of me figure out why rails are so popular. You might as well run your deck over with a car if you want your stuff damaged like that.

You can get a Custom for less than 500 bucks (which is the approximate sticker price) if you look around. All shops run, at some point during the year, a hardware sale where you can get anywhere from 10-30 percent off your deck. I got mine for less than 400 bucks.

If you really want a big-mountain board, I recommend the Ride Timeless. If you want something a little more versatile, buy the Custom. You'll never look back.
Have fun!
