Colorado will be the most logical choice... It will also be the quickest to reach from Dallas to Denver. Once in Denver it will take you about 1 hour to reach a ski resort where you can ski properly.
You just need to hunt for the cheap flights though.
Man, I miss both Dallas and Colorado now!

You need an airline ticket anyways, so what's the worry? Pick a resort, and go! Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado would all be logical choices.
