I just bought a pair of ice skates. Can you recommend proper care and maintenance?

Have you ever seen a famous ice skater in person?
The first thing you will need to do is take them to a skate sharpener to have them sharpened. These can be found at ice rinks, skating supply stores and some general sports wear stores. You should also buy a polish to keep the leather supple (if they are leather). Keep them packed with guards on the blades in a closet where no little hands or curious animal noses can get to them, they are really sharp when properly maintained.get roller skates there easier...
I'm starting snowing boarding and want a good starter board and bindings any ideas?
Buy a leather cleaner and work into the shoe part at least once a month, depending on how often you use them. After every skate, wipe the blades dry and apply a silicone like WD40 or TriFlo and wipe dry. Store in a dry place. Always remember to check the strings because they take allot of abuse.Has anyone gone skiing in Gatlinburg, TN? Any good?
You should polish them. And make sure there is room for proper sharpening. If they are dull, you will experience some sliding. They will help you on the shop at the ice rink.Use skate guards when not on ice.dry your boots, boot soles, and blades with a clean cloth after each use.Properly lace the skates. How do you achieve the splits in under 1 week?
Buy some skate guards first off, use them when your not on the ice. When you do get off the ice, make sure you wipe your blades dry then put on the guards. sharpen regularly, if your using your skates more than 3-4 times a week, sharpen your blades twice a month. also store your skates in a bag of some kind when not in use. they sell them in most pro shops. Happy skating!I'm planning on going skiing 6th of Jan to France. Where should i go?
get them sharpened, always wear blade guards (cept on ice), buy soaker guards and a rag, MAKE SURE they dont rust, buy leather cleaner, and have funMore Questions & Answers...
