What is easier to learn - skiing or snowboarding?

Would appreciate personal experience.

Ski Racing Help?

I can do both and I think initially snowboarding is more difficult, but once you get the hang of riding it's much easier than skiing (at least for me). If you skateboard or wakeboard or surf then snowboarding will probably be easier for you. If you know how to waterski then try skiing. I like snowboarding better because you only have to worry about one thing - the board! Having 2 poles and 2 skis that can go flying all over the place when you fall is too much trouble for me =) If you are interested in moguls then learn to ski, but if you are interested in being in the park and halfpipe then snowboarding is your best bet.

Where's the best place to snowboard in nor-cal?

they are two different sports.i think snowboarding ...because you can keep the ballance easir...if you try skiing you will kill yourself:))) it is easy to keep the ballance again but it is dangerous because you may cross your feet..i mean your skii and...i don't wanna tell you what net:))))

How can I promote my Yahoo group? (http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/silverskiiers/)?

I think they are about the same, but I like snowboarding better. Skiing is easy because your feet are more free than on a snowboard. At the same time, when you learn how, it's easier to carve. From my experience, I caught on about the same amount of time. However, I suggest trying skiing first, like I did. If you don't like that too much, do snowboarding.
