Too old for ice shows?

I'm 18 years old and I only just started figure skating lessons one year ago. By the time I am good enough for ice shows like Disney on ice, will I be too old? It's something I really want to do.

Where is the best place to ski in Tahoe?

Most professional figure skaters started at a very young age, but if you are determined, if you have good teachers, and if you are willing to devote lots of time to practise, it can be done. Good luck to you!

How do i lace up my boa forum recon boot?

No, I don't think you will be too old. I know that some of the people that do shows like that are older so I think you are fine to do those shows if you would like when you are able to. You can do what you want!

Is ice skating good exercise or a way to burn calories? Even if you are a beginner?

its never too late to try. just go for it. give it your best for around two months- and audition for it. if u want to stay on the safe side, go talk to one of the directors and see if you can wiggle yourself in. stay confident if u dont make it, there are plenty of oppurtunites im sure. if not, then just recreationally skate, and try something else- like ballroom dancing or ballet

Moving up levels in figure skating.?

You are never to old to follow your dreams. Remember age is only a number. I started skating 2 years ago, and I have almost landed double jumps. Keep working! I suggest getting a coach for private lessons, it will help you improve quicker. Good Luck!

What are olimpiks?

Well, someof the people in those shows are in their 30's or so, but many of them have been skating for years. I say, keep skating and following your dreams, but don't put off school or stop hanging out with friends just so that you have more time to skate.

How long does it take to learn to ski?

many people who are in disney on ice have a lot of experience but if you practice a lot I'm sure you'll gain enough too. By the time you do you probably wont be too old. I think a lot of people who do those shows are around 30 so that gives you awhile to really practice.

ok i am 12 and i love to ice skate and i am in freestyle four because i started at 7 and my little sister started at 6 or 5 and now shes in delta right now she is 7 1/2 so now on to your question i think that you should train hard all the time and have coaches and maybe when your 20 to 23 you'll be the best skater out on disney on ice i think you could be now you could even be in the olympics now instead of reading this letter you should get to an ice skating rink pronto!!!!

What does rebate mean?

You're only 18 y.o. & if you just work hard enough, who knows you'll be skating for Disney in few years time. If you are worried about what other people might say/think, don't...do it for yourself & whatever makes you happy. There is no such thing as too old for an ice show. I've seen older people just learning how to skate & would even join their local ice shows.

Does anyone Ice Skate? If so, do you have tips for 1 foot spins?

No Way. your never to old for anything. just keep your goal in mind and you will get it, dont let others stop you. there are loads of ice shows, professional and otherwise, start smaller and work bigger. good luck hope you make it xox

You could do many many many ice shows at your home rink. But for Disney on Ice.. it depends how hard you work and how much progress you're making. I've never heard of any famous skater start at 18, but you can always try. I don't see why not.
