Help about snowboard size and settings for tall guy?
Question:Hello,
I am a guy (85kg/187lb - 190cm/6.23ft - shoes size 10) and I practice snowboarding since 2002.
I am using a Burton Custom 166 but I can't really find the right feeling with the stance of this board which is limited to 53cm.
As far as I can see no Burton boards have a stance width larger than this and I don't know why.
I like riding with a duckfoot stance and I would like to know what tall riders are using in terms of size and setting (i.e. stance width, offset, and angles).

Your reading the specs wrong. There are four mounting points for each binding and the reference stance on the 166 Custom is 53 cm but can go as wide as 63 cm (maybe more, I'm doing this from memory) which should be plenty wide enough. The reason why Burton chooses the stance widths it does is because it wants the boards to perform a certain way. Two wide or narrow and the board won't ride correctly. That 166 Custom should offer plenty of stance options for you. I'm right about 6'0" and I ride a 53 cm stance and it works great.Does anyone know where to buy skating dresses?
for the width of the stance make it even on both sides and make it shoulder width and for the angles i like duckfoot but both the same amount so when u ride switch its the same, dnt put to much angle or u can seriously mess up ur knees, i hav 15/-15 and i wouldnt want to go much more than thatMore Questions & Answers...
