Installing Bindings?
Question:I just installed my bindings (4 square) and it seemed odd.
First of all, the screws barely poked through the back and so I can't image a lot of thread connection. I kind of worked them down using the alternative X-pattern to tighten.
I just wanted to know if that's how it felt, like they're barely hanging in there. I understand they can't be too long, or they'll go through the board.but still.

A screw reaches it's maximum strength (holding power) with only three threads. You can usually equate that to three solid turns. If you got that, your all good. Also, that alternating X pattern you used is the right way to do it, good job. Never ditch the washers, they are there for a reason and you could damage your bindings if you took them out. If you are still unsure you got them on there right, take them to a shop and have the tech take a look at it.ok that's normal. if you're feeling doubtful then you need to take a small screwdriver with you when you go riding and the moment you feel your binding is a little loose then stop immediately and tighten that bad boy. don't take the washers out. unless they were washers that you supplied. the bindings should have come with a set of screws and washers for each binding. if they didn't then you got ripped off and you need to contact the person you bought them from.

I have a giro mountain bike helmet. Can I use that as a snow boarding helmet as well? If not, why.?
sounds like you never did this before. I havent either. when i get new stuff i spend the 40 bucks and let a profesional tech do it, Sure , i could save the money and get some satisfaction doing it myself, but I would rather be safe and think about my skiing/riding than always wonder if i was going to crash due to equippment failure.More Questions & Answers...
