its not any of those a toe loop and salchow are both jumps not spins.neither...i think your refering to a flip jump!

If you do a checked outside left three turn and release it and jump at the same time, which I assume is what you are refering to with the "spin" comment, that is a Salchow from a three turn. A toe loop is from a checked inside right three turn - then you put your left toe pick in the ice and jump while you rotate. A Salchow is an edge jump - you don't use a toe pick at all.Has anyone just come back from Andorra?

First of all you do a three turn at the beginning of both of these jumps. I'm not sure what you mean by a spin. The salchow begins with a forward outside three turn. A lot of beginners tend to spin after the three turn. This is incorrect (maybe thats what you meant by a spin). You jump when you are on the back inside edge. The toe loop begins with a forward inside three turn and you jump with the toe on a back outside edge.More Questions & Answers...
