I remember how scared I was to practice by myself when I first started skating. I think it's a common feeling. I did get used to it, and much less nervous, with each time I practiced.

Having an extra practice session or two during the week, between your lessons, can really help you improve more quickly than only skating during your lesson times.

Wheres a good place in south america for snowboarding?

Even though you're afraid, practicing will help you. In fact the more time you are able to dedicate yourself to your skating the faster you will progress. I'm not sure what it is you're afraid of - perhaps skating alone? I would just run through the exercises you do with your coach during your regular skating sessions and after a while you should start to feel more comfortable.

Snowboarders or skiers?!?

Omg yes practicing does alot it will help you so much when I first started I was in basic 2 and I went skating and I actually thought it was kool to get just about the hole rink to myself you just practice what your learning and it will help you move up levels faster too.

Where can I get a decent snowboarding helmet?

Practice will definately help you at this level. Get in as much practice as you can - practice makes permanent and until you feel your freedom of balance and glide, you will not have success advancing through the levels at a pace you want.

Curling league?

if ur only in basic three then u don't need to practice a whole lot unless u want to so if u like to practice a lot then go for it and yes i think it will help you but don't skate every day of the week or anything like that if you work to hard you'll just get burnt out and get worse instead of better

What shall i wear to go dry skiing tomorrow? bear in mind its due to snow?

Learning to ski in spring ?? Is is good for learner.. I mean the ice condition etc?

the first thing i can say is not to be scared of anything you do on the ice because the worst thing that can happen is that you could fall. but everything you do by yourself, ask your coach if you could do it first. and go for it. try the spin. you can do it.
just practice practice practice.!
