I don't know what kind of information you need, but the best place to start would be PSIA.org, the professional ski instructors of america website or USSA.org, the united states ski association. If it's about just the recreational side you should probably include that you use two skis. The different kinds (race, freestyle, backcountry, etc.), info on ski boots, clothing, helmets, poles, etc. You can find most of this stuff on the major brand websites (K2, Salamon, Rossignal, Atomic, Volkl, Armada). Also check out magazines like Powder or Skiing. For racing and olympic stuff you can probably figure that out.
