Remounting bindings higher up on new skis. Do or dont ?
I bought new k2 public enemys of which the bindings were mounted by the shop at midsole point without me knowing. I want the binding a good 5cm higher up, will remounting these bindings be worth it, and will it affect the strengh and durability of the ski ?

How do you like your bindings set up for snowboarding?
You should be able to have this done without affecting the strength of the ski. You need a shop to do it though (they will have the drill jig needed to drill the holes) and will plug the current ones with plastic plugs to keep moisture out of the internal structure. If you are looking for small incremental changes in your boot positioning, you may want to consider a set of demo bindings instead of fixed - you will have fore and aft adjustment on the toe and heel pieces. That way, if you hate the new forward position, you are not remounting back to the old position. What is the difference between dragon dx & dragon dxs snowboard goggles?
Mid sole doesnt mean the middle of the ski, it means middle of the sole of the boot. If you measure from the ski tip to that mark and from the tail to that mark you will understand where on the ski the midsole mark is.The midsole mark is what the ski maker determined to be the best balance point on the ski. Some skis mount more forward, some mount more to the back. It depends on what the ski is used for, and the skier type using it.
That public enemy is a pipe and park ski, so you'll want to keep your binding mounted more to the middle of the ski. That might just be where the midsole mark already is. All that you gain from mounting forward is a little speed.
