Where can I go cross country skiing near/in Toronto?
Question:I havent' tried x-country skiing before and would like to try.
I live in toronto so somewhere close would be great...and I would need to be able to rent equipment.

If it's your first time out though, you might just want to muck around in a park like Sunnybrook or something.

You'll have to take a trip to Barrie at Hardwood Hills http://www.hardwoodhills.ca/nordic/nordi... or Horseshoe for groomed Nordic Ski trails.
For good snow conditions and FREE Nordic Skiing take a trip to Collingwood and ski the Georgian Trail, it's a nicely kept trail that runs from Collingwood to Meaford.
There's also Scenic Caves Adventures thay have Nordic trails at a reasonable price. http://www.sceniccaves.com/winter/rates-...
