Snowboard Binding problem?
Okay, so I ride goofy-footed and just put the bindings on my snowboard. Should my front binding (right foot) be closer to the end of the board or should my back binding (left foot) be closer to the end of the board?

Look at your board. For each binding there is a set of inserts (the holes you attach your bindings to). I would start off placing your bindings in the center of each pack of inserts, this is known as the reference stance. After you get better you can play around with different stances. Centered stances are good for park riding as they make a board more predictable and stable when riding backwards. Most boards are mounted in a "set back" position where the nose is a bit longer than the tail. For most riders, this is the best option since 90% of the average riders riding is forward and edge hold is controlled by the nose of the board, so a longer nose is actually going to make your board a bit more stable, especially at speed (at the expense of stability while riding switch). If you don't ride switch too often then you definitely want the nose to be a bit longer (no more than an inch or so.unless it's a powder board but that's a whole different world and I wouldn't worry about that yet). You would never, ever want to mount your board with a shorter nose.I have mine centered, but I if you lean to far forward or backward I would adjust them in the oppisite direction you are leaning?

your bindings should be centered on the board no matter what way you ride it. You center your stance for stability. How much does it cost to run in the Iditarod?
Your back foot (left binding) should be closer to your tail to make it easier for you to control your snowboard just starting out. As you progress, widen your stance and start to move you front foot forward leaving a little more space to the end of your nose than to your tail15.years old girl can learn skate?
most boards these days are designed for your back foot to be a couple inches closer to the end of the board. You can center your feet up as close a possible if you are a freestyle rider but if not keep them back a little, it helps you hold your edges by stiffening the tail a little more than the nose.More Questions & Answers...
