What ski resorts have the best snow in early spring?
I want to take my girl skiing for her first time, but we won't be able to go until late March/early April. I'm worried that most of the snow will be melted by then. I'm thinking Whistler, B.C. b/c it's further north, but I can't find snow averages for CO, Jackson Hole, UT, etc. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Can Anybody find Line Anthems for Sale anywere thats not sold out?
Whistler is generally good most years for spring skiing - has been very hit-or-miss over the past decade. Lower levels can gets very slushy - but you have options to stay higher up the mountain with the lifts on Blackcomb. They do have a good snowpack with all the winter storms hitting the west coast this year.Sunshine Village (near Banff, Alberta) is usually the best conditions in Western North America* for spring skiing. I recall them opening up for July 1 (Canada Day) because the snow conditions were still so good. Elevation + lots of snow = good late season conditions.
*"Consistent snowfall gives Sunshine Village one of North America's longest ski seasons (mid November to late May)." - Robert Choquette (his review of the top 11 spring skiing resorts in North America)
where do u live? any place at high elevation will have snow.
What do skateborders and surfers like?
The higher up the better. Breckenridge, Arapahoe, Snowmass and J. Hole are good. Whistler is north but near the coast, the base can be raining even in December or January. Also, Mt. Tremblant in Quebec should be good as that is FREEZING in January/February but decently cold in late March.u really think shes going to care where she ski's at first ? COME ON get serious shes goin to be on her BUTTOX for most of the day and after the first 2 hours shes going to be ready to hit the lodge and drink her pain away.. save the money and go some where local.
It never melts in Mammoth! I usually go in the spring, and its soooooooooooooooo fun!
Sunshine Village in Banff Alberta has fantastic snow open every year until May. You have to take the gondola up to the actual resort, and some seasons have had better snow in May than in December or January.
Anyone been to the dry ski slope in Gateshead?
I second Mammoth - fantastic in March and April. Lots of easier runs too.Tahoe, Mammoth, Abasin, Copper, Some Utah resorts, Mt Hood, Whistler/BC...
