Snowboarding in Spring?

am thinking of going on a ski trip during my spring break to Vail, CO which is on march 31 to april 9 and at vail it says its open till april 22. I just want to make sure the conditions are still good by then (not slushy or watery) and there still is plenty of fresh snow to ski on. Any help? Is it worth the trip?? Also what is the AVG temperature by then?
