Where's the best place to ice skate in Manhattan or Brooklyn?
Free would be great... we have our own skates.
Answers:
Every other place charges admission.
The most beautiful rinks in NYC are Wollman, in Central Park, and Rockefeller Center. I also like the one up in Harlem, Lasker Rink, at 107 and B'way.
Other rinks are at Chelsea Piers and also the new one at Aviator Sports in Brooklyn. You can also try:
- Abe Stark Rink on Coney Island
- Kate Wollman Rink in Prospect Park, Brooklyn
If you don't mind going to Queens, there's also the World's Fair Rink in Corona Park.
ETA: Oh! I found a site with links to some of these rinks. Might help.
What's a good skiresort with high paying jobs or a big city near by?
The best place would be Chelsea Piers it's called Sky Rink in manhattan because it has two indoor rinks. It features lessons, coaching, harness training, freestyle sessions, and off-ice training which includes body alignment, aerobics, plyometrics, ballet/dance and strength training. What do I need to go skiing? How much does it cost?
I'd say Rockafeller (sorry, I can't spell!) center. I don't live in NYC so I don't know if it's still got skating at this time of year, but it's always been a dream of mine to skate there, so...Is it true that a lot of ice skating will build up your leg muscles?
Try Sky Rink, I hear its great! I haven't been there yet, but I am going soon, I am a figure skater and my coach is bringing me their for a freestyle session. I also hear they have public skating, I think that would be the time you should go!More Questions & Answers...
