What Camelbak should I get?

Question:Hi! I am looking to get a Camelbak for my snowboard trip thats coming up.

So I wanted one that is really made for snowboarding/skiing (Can hold boards, will keep water from freezing, etc.); but the thing is, I don't go snowboarding but once or twice a year. But I could use it when I go mountain biking or ride my dirt bike.

I have never bought one of these before so I wanted some advice from people that have Camelbaks. I am looking for one that:

Is made for Snowboarding/Skiing
Can hold my board Can hold a good amount of water (2L or more)
I can use my iPod while riding (I heard some have headphone ports)
Can hold some extra stuff (like a snack or something.)
Not too heavy

I saw one with speakers in it. That would be cool. The hellion SC I think. But I think that might be too big. If anyone has one is it pretty big?

I have been looking but I want to make sure I get a good one. There are a TON to choose from!

I'm sorry I'm so picky. Thanks for any help!

My 12 year old wants to go snowboarding. I don't want to go to to Big Bear or any expensive place like that.

I wanted an all purpose camelbak as well. Wanted one that could hold my board for backcountry and all of that. Way too much overkill for a day at a resort though. Stick with a basic camelbak, one of the smaller ones that you won't notice. A snowboard/winter one is a good idea, the drinking tube wont freeze as much on you. Think about it.we keep making things smaller and smaller, phones, mp3, etc.Do you really need to bring a sack full of stuff with you snowboarding?? You're boarding, not camping, lol. Plus it seemed like all it did was shift around while riding, does take some getting used to. I now keep the backpack one for backcountry/full day excursions and got another low profile one for just basic use at the resorts. That one works great for biking too.
The bigger one I have is similar to the Hellion.
The smaller one I have is similar to the Snobowl

What Camelbak should I get?

I got the Zoid for Xmas last year and it's about the perfect size for a day of riding. It has a 2L bladder which when it's on your back, you don't really notice the extra weight. I wear it on the outside of my jacket and it fits pretty well on my back. It has a smallish zippered pocket that can hold a couple of small things, like an energy bar and your keys but that's about it.

Overall it has been a pretty good. I ussually take a couple of sips on the lift every other run and it definately helps keep me going throughout the day. 2L is about the perfect size and I ussually empty it by the late afternoon. Any larer and you'd probably just be carrying extra weight. I've never had a problem with it freezing up although I ussually fill it with a mix of water and gatorade.

How long does it normally take someone to pass the 10 Beginner ice skating levels?

We have a medium one(?).It holds enough water for one person for the whole day. I also has a small pouch.Large enough for a camera and light lunch and a neck warmer.
They are worth it.ALL of our kids have one.It eliminates the need to go to the base lodge for a drink every 20 minutes.

Buy one they're worth it.

Whats an onomatopoeia for skating?

I like the Hellion - it is big enough to swap layers out of as conditions change but small enough to be unobtrusive on the chair.

I never board with it full but I like the flexibility of the extra room. You can use the compression straps to suck down the extra volume when you don't need it. The insulation on the drinking tube works great - you have to drink from it from time to time to keep it from freezing but it handles the cold weather well.

I use my Hellion all year long for day hikes/rides, as a photography bag and on short trips. It's nice and comfortable and is very well made.

Please don't be that guy that blasts his speakers on the mountain and makes everyone else listen to his music. Earphones sound better and are less annoying for everyone else. I put my MP3 Player in my jacket where I can get to it while on the chair.

Who makes the best snowboard for riding and doing some stuff in the park...more freestyle?

I have a Camelbak Scorpion, its specific to snowsports.

It holds 2 liters, insulated, has a headphone port (though i wouldnt use it, whats the point if you need to take it off just to skip songs) and has some small pockets.

Its fairly small and easy to carry around, plus very usable outside of snowboarding. However, its not a backpack and doesnt hold a snowboard.

I think getting one that holds a board specifically will force you to buy a bigger camelbak which you cant really use too well with biking.

Unless you usually go hiking long distances with the board, carrying it or using a tow leash is more than adequate.

Best pair of walkie talkies for snowboarding\sking use?

get one that holds water at least 1 liter.
