Vince McMahon has always been into huge roided out bodybuilders because they are larger than life. His job is to create characters and no one wants to see wrestlers that are smaller than they are.

Real wrestling doesn't sell. The WWE for the most part has been more soap opera and less sport. We're all conditioned to see matches only go 10 minutes while having interviews going 20 minutes. Everything is charisma based in wrestling and not performance. Look how long Hogan has been around. He had about 3 moves.
