No. TNA was paying licensing fees to NWA for usage of the NWA name. Hence the original name of NWA TNA. This was done to give credibility to the new federation. Now that TNA is established they are dropping the NWA titles in favor of TNA titles. TNA is no longer associated with NWA and vice versa.

no they got rid of the NWA titles and brought new TNA titles, i believe their affiliation with NWA is over
