Vince is all about money, no way would he let his superstars just go.
If you believe in karma, than this might be a good explanation.
Think of all the recent firings. Think of the downfall of ECW. Think of all the failed storylines and missed opportunities to promote new talent.
Injuring the top stars might be the only way WWE will promote new ideas and talent. I can't say it's a totally bad thing, but I do wish them a speedy recovery.
