Some of them don't, but many of them take steroids for medicinal purposes. Wrestlers may not be "athletes" per se, but they beat their bodies up like athletes, and usually, for way more times per year than your average athlete does. Steroids are medicinal in as much as they can aid in muscle healing (by means of muscle growth, hence their performance enhancing qualities).It's not taking steroids that's bad: it's the purpose and reason they're used for. Take Randy Orton, for example. The guy took steroids for enhancement. How do we know that? Because he also had subscriptions to keep the side effects of long term usage down (like male breast growth).
So steroid usage isn't about using steroids: just the purpose the steroids are used for.

any substance that they don't have a prescription for, gets sent home to get cleaned up. Some have returned - some have not. Bulging veins does not constitute steroid taking.

are you being serious?the wwe wellness policy that has been going on for months determines whether the talent uses steroids or other drugs that are forbidden. many wrestlers would have tried steroids during certain periods, and most wrestlers were hooked on steroids during the 80s, but these days, the wellness policy prevents them from taking them at all. though they make look like they do, batista and bobby lashley do not take steroids. if wrestlers fail the wellness policy they get suspended without pay so wrestlers dont take the chance.
