But Undertaker is the World Heavyweight Champion, and everyone CHEERS for him. So that makes him a face.

Usually you can tell who's who just by seeing what they do. For example, if some wrestlers interrupt a match and gang up one someone, that's something a heel would do. If someone comes in the ring and helps the guy getting beat-up, it's something a face would do.

a face is a good guy, a fan favorite, and a heel is a bad guy, the one everyone loves to hate. they are pre-determined behind the scenes by the promoters and the wrestlers themselves, for example...Bret Hart (when he wrestled) was a "baby face" (or just a plain face), and Triple H (Hunter Hearst Helmsley) was a heel.they often switch, too (like Shawn Michaels...he has flipped from face to heel many times...hope this helped

In wrestling a heel is someone the fans aren't supposed to like (you might of heard the term monster heel from the early 90s when the big guys, like Vader were portrayed as monsters who you love to hate), and (baby)face is someone who the crowd is supposed to be behind and support.
