What would you do?

If you were CEO for a day, how would you improve the WWE?

Answers:

1. Remove dead weight (Snitsky, Great Khali, Daivari, the Miz for starters)

2. Re-invigorate the tag team scene.

3. Reduce the number of titles - have one undisputed champion, one US/Intercontinental champ, one tag team championship, one cruiserweight title, and one hardcore title - guys like Gregory Helms, Benoit, and Kendrick/London would receive much more due praise and pushes as a result.

4. Make ECW like ECW instead of like a trip to church.

5. Balance out the Divas - if some are ONLY for eye-candy, then NEVER put them in the ring. And for those that are put in the ring, make sure they have SOME wrestling ability.

6. Stop the Eugene angle, since Nick Dinsmore is in fact a talented wrestler - I would to see him with a new gimmick.

7. Pull some switches that no one anticipates - make Rey or Benoit a heel (I realize not a novel idea, but when was the last time you saw them as anything but faces?) - make Maria a heel, or have "Queen Sharmell" turn on Booker and go face. I realize these types of ideas are fraught with peril, but in reality - the storylines that people remember are those that shocked them (ie Andre the Giant turning on Hogan, Paul Bearer siding with Mankind over Undertaker)

8. Acknowledge that your programming sucks - there is so much kayfabe in wrestling now that it would make a great angle that McMahon sits at home watching TNA rather than his own show - plus, since he would be watching a more exciting organization, he might pick up some ideas.

9. Reduce the amount of PPV's. I say this, not because I am a cheapskate who does not want to pay for events, but that in the old days, storylines built over months. Now, with PPV's happening once a month, these storylines (some of them with intriguing possibilites) go nowhere. A great example from this year was the series of matches between Benoit and Finlay, both superb workers. That storyline, back ten years ago - would have resulted in 6 months of great matches. Now, we get three weeks of mid-card matches on Smackdown or Raw. I guess what I mean is - don't cater to the ADHD audience.

10. The storylines that work are the ones incorporating psychology - friendships breaking up, families breaking apart (ie. Owen vs. Bret), or rebellion against the established rules (eg. DX, Stone Cold, The Rock, etc.). Therefore, for wrestlers you wish to push, teach them ring psychology - watching Batista is duller than watching ladies' golf, and watching Cena is...well, enough writers have already put in their opinions of that.

I'd get rid of any and all untalented wrestlers for one. I would also get a whole new team of writers to make the storylines better then what they are.

If I were CEO of WWE for one day... damn what would I do. You can't be the CEO of the WWE for day for it would just pointless since everything can be overthrown as you soon as you leave... so if I were CEO for a week, I make would try to bring back the magic that the WWE had when it was the World Wrestling Federation... before Turner had World Championship Wrestling. By having great matches like RVD v. Shawn Michaels in a Ladder Match, Fatal Four-Way Last Man Standard Undertaker vs. Batista vs. Kane vs. The Great Khali and so on...

I agree, they are using the same story lines as they were a decade ago, some are tried and true, others are just way to idiotic. Also I think the matches are getting way to easy for a longtime viewer like myself to coreograph.

I would get rid of guys like Miz and Eugene. I would bring in young and talented guys and sooner or later give them a U.S or Intercontinental and put most of them on Smackdown because Smackdown is just total boring right now. Also put someone else WWE Champion and that would be MVP!
