Question:Controversy is swirling around last night's WWE Championship Match. As the above photo shows, The Great Khali's foot was under the bottom rope as he tapped out to John Cena's STFU.

does it matter if it's under the rope

Yes it does. Ropes signify the barrier, thus if khali's foot was under it, he passed the barrier, so that means Cena should have been DQed for holding on too long. And Chioda should be fired. =P

Yes, the ref is supposed to stop the count or break the hold if there foot is on the bottom rope or under it. that's why thye always tend to move the guys towards the middle before the pin.
