its his way of showing he can do what he wants. he also feels whenever he is on tv that means higher ratings and ecw is in a ratings slump and could be cancelled for next season since they have a tenuous contract with sci fi. so if vince doesnt pick up ratings, the show is gone. so hes actually trying to save ecw for once in his own egotistical way.I think he wants to pass the belt on to one of the originals but doesn't want Bobby Lashley to lose to them especially since Lashley and the originals both are faces right now. I think either Sabu or RVD will end up beating down Vince in a cage at an upcoming PPV. In a way him having the belt is a let down but like you said he is also showing interest in the brand and trying to boost ratings. Vince is still one of the best heels and is good at bringing heat on himself. Wrestlemania is a good example as many tuned in just to see his head shaved. I think ECW needs more help than that however as their roster is pretty thin.
In my honest opinion, it is a letdown to not just the ECW originals, but an insult to all of the fans of the ORIGINAL ECW. the old ECW was about emotion, busting ur *** every night, and giving the fans what they wanted to see. vince mcmahon is none of those and if you dont believe me, ask any smart fan about McMahon giving the WWE title to a piece of non-wrestling garbage like Cena. if vince would be a smart guy like he was in the Attitude Era, some fans might actually have something to look forward too every time WWE programming is on. but for now Vince and his product are both turning into heaps of garbage

vince mcmahon is disrespect the ecw title by the fan, old ecw workers like mr. heymon, and mostly ecw wrestlers. the wrestlers are mostly piss seeing vince as the ecw champ, because he did not win fare and square and fatass umaga did all the work. i'm piss at the fan winning the intercontinental champ and not an actual wrestler.LOL, Whaddya think of the video The Rock?
Ultimate let down. If he was going for shock he sure as hell took a bad turn. Throw another wrestler in the match, make some bs happen, just don't put a belt on Vince. It's dumb on WWE's part. For me it doesn't make me want to watch ECW, it just makes it that more easier to NOT watch ECW.He has no interest in the brand in fact I think he is trying to kill it. If he did he might have given the belt to someone else or something.
